Peter Luca was diagnosed with DIPG six days after his sixth birthday on January 9, 2013. He responded well to radiation, which shrank the tumor about 40%. After the standard 6 weeks of radiation, we used various alternative medicines to keep him healthy. Peter lived a good and healthy two years that consisted of as much fun experiences as we give him. Peter passed two years to the day after diagnosis on January 9, 2015 leaving a hole in our hearts that will never fill. Peter you are the bravest strongest person we know. We miss you every single day and wonder what your interests would be today. We will forever be an advocate of more research for childhood cancer and DIPG. We love you to the moon and back.
